Treatment of feed and raw materials with a Salmonella inhibitor as part of any Salmonella control programme is most important. SALTREET has been designed and formulated to be part such a control programme in an efficient and cost effective way.  Its unique formulation is designed to reduce and remove salmonella quickly as well as giving longer lasting protection against recontamination.  By utilising both a specialised blend of carboxylic acids and a carefully constructed carrier system, SALTREET can give raw materials and feed the maximum protection required.

Recontamination with Salmonella and other harmful enteropathogens can be a major problem with transport, bulk storage and feeders all being potential sources, so it is important that not only feed is clear of contamination when produced, but continues to be so until it is consumed by the bird.  The blend of volatile fatty acids and their salts used in SALTREET gives both a rapid initial bacterial kill and also a prolonged action over a period of time to give longer term protection. This blend when combined with a unique carrier system selected to optimise the controlled release of active ingredients, gives immediate control over gram-negative pathogens in the feed, while allowing a slower release for extended control of pathogenic microbes.

A further most important benefit gained when including SALTREET in feed is protection of feed energy value.
SALTREET not only gives salmonella control, protects feed from mould contamination and gives increased macro-mineral availability to the bird, it allows a significant improvement in dietary energy efficiency.  This increase in efficiency means that we are able to to give an energy value to SALTREET which can be taken into account when formulating poultry diets so offsetting cost and increasing profitability.
